HEATHEN Hard At Work On New Demo

January 27, 2005

Reunited San Francisco Bay Area thrashers HEATHEN hit the studio earlier this month to record a three-song demo. Darren Minter completed his drum tracks and guitarist Lee Altus is due to record his parts this week, followed by bassist Jon Torres and singer Dave White.

The demo is expected to be finished by the end of February.

As previously reported, HEATHEN recently inked a North American distribution deal with the New York-based based Innovative Distribution Network (IDN).

The band, who are currently unsigned, released their latest CD, "Recovered", independently this past spring. The effort featured covers of songs from QUEEN, THIN LIZZY, TYGERS OF PAN TANG and SWEET SAVAGE, as well as an original track, "In Memory of…" (written and dedicated to former band member Randy Laird and White's brother Jeffrey).

HEATHEN have been confirmed for the Headbangers Open Air 2005 festival, set to take place July 9-10 in Germany. The group are also slated to perform at the Thrash Till Death festival on July 15-16, 2005 in Wendessen, Germany.
