HATESPHERE Confirmed For Denmark's ROSKILDE FESTIVAL

May 31, 2007

Danish thrashers HATESPHERE have posted the following update:

"We are very honoured to announce that we have been confirmed for the legendary Roskilde Festival, Denmark for the second year in a row. We will play the Arena stage on Friday July 6th, and no need to say that we are looking forward to kicking ass together with around 20,000 crazy metal heads in the audience!!! Check out the official Roskilde Festival homepage for further information - the exact program will follow within a month.

"In a direct consequence of this we have felt it necessary to cancel our appearance at the Waldrock warm-up party in Holland on the same date. We would like to apologize for that to the whole Waldrock crew and the fans down there waiting to see us. We will be back in Holland in August and make it all up to you again. Hope you all understand. Furthermore we have been confirmed as main support for mighty BEHEMOTH on their Poland tour to take place from September 5th to September 13th. See you all out there."

HATESPHERE entered the national chart in their home country at position No. 26 with their latest release, "Serpent Smiles and Killer Eyes". The CD was mixed by Tue Madsen at Antfarm studios in Århus, Denmark. According to the band, "We decided to focus more on getting a heavy crunchy sound this time, that would suit the somewhat slower songs on this album, and the guitars are crushing!!! 'Serpent Smiles and Killer Eyes' has taken us in a slightly different direction — of course, still with the main purpose of making your ears bleed, haha, but this time we went for a more mid-tempo approach to finetune our sonic attack." Two songs from the CD — "Let them Hate" and "Floating" — are available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

HATESPHERE has made its new video, "Forever War", available for download here.

HATESPHERE's last CD, "The Sickness Within", was released in the U.S. in September 2006 via SPV.
