HATEBREED: Rochester Concert Cancelled

December 30, 2007

HATEBREED has been forced to cancel tonight's (December 30) scheduled concert at Water Street in Rochester, New York, as a result of guitarist Frank Novinec breaking his ankle. This would have been the band's last performance on the 10-day Stillborn Festival tour which also featured AGNOSTIC FRONT, GOD FORBID, NECRO, AT ALL COST and Stillborn Records' latest signing, THY WILL BE DONE.

In other news, HATEBREED has posted the following message on its MySpace page:

"It has come to our attention that some asshole went and changed the title of our song 'Smash Your Enemies' to something very offensive and has uploaded it on some file sharing sites. THIS IS WHY ILLEGAL MUSIC DOWNLOADING IS FUCKED UP!!! Now, we didn't want to bring anymore attention to this bullshit but people need to know that anybody can just decide to change a bands song titles and there's nothing that can be done! Any true HATEBREED fans know the real deal and know we would never have a song called that but there are a lot of young kids that DON'T BUY MUSIC legally that went online to steal our music and saw this fucked up song title and were offended and wrote us messages and hatemail. THIS IS SO LAME! HATEBREED is a band with positive messages of respect for all. We have always been this way. It offends us that people would even think for one second that we would have any racist, homophobic or sexist type agenda. It's just not so. Hope that clears things up for those of you who wrote us."

As previously reported, HATEBREED will film its February 9, 2008 concert at Harpo's in Detroit, Michigan for an upcoming DVD release. Tickets for this special DVD shoot show are only five dollars.

HATEBREED recently parted ways with Roadrunner Records, the label that released the group's latest CD, 2006's "Supremacy". The band has yet to announce a new label home.
