HAMMERFALL To Take Part In Online Chat

January 17, 2011

Vocalist Joacim Cans and guitarist Oscar Dronjak of Swedish melodic metallers HAMMERFALL will take part in a live, in-studio chat with their fans on Saturday, January 22 beginning at 9 a.m. PST / 12 p.m. (noon) EST / 6 p.m CET.

The online event will take place at the Nuclear Blast streaming room at this location.

With the launch of their video blog site, Swedish melodic metallers HAMMERFALL invite fans from around the world to submit questions for their weekly video blog.

What are working titles for the new songs? What will producer James Michael (MÖTLEY CRÜE, SCORPIONS, MEAT LOAF) do with lead singer Joacim Cans' used spit screens? Did guitarist Pontus Norgren pack a good-luck THIN LIZZY t-shirt? What warm-up exercises does drummer Anders Johansson swear by? Will bassist Fredrik Larsson use any recording gear from his CRYSTAL AGE days? How has guitarist Oscar Dronjak juggled his recording schedule with his MMA training?

Fans, submit your questions to [email protected] and use "Question For Hammerfall" in your subject line, then tune in weekly to Hammerfall.tv and watch the latest online in-studio video.

HAMMERFALL's as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2009's "No Sacrifice, No Victory" will be made available in Europe on May 20 via Nuclear Blast Records. A summer release in North America is expected.

Regarding the sound of the new HAMMERFALL songs, guitarist Oscar Dronjak states, "The new material contains a lot of fresh ways to look at the musical ideas. We're trying to preserve the essence of what HAMMERFALL is while at the same time updating the execution and approach. Definitely heavier and less straight-forward than the previous albums, yet remaining true to what we believe heavy metal is all about."
