HAMMERFALL To Be Joined By PRETTY MAIDS At Gothenburg Concert

January 28, 2005

HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"Hot news item today: PRETTY MAIDS will be special guest for the show in Göteborg on April 30th. Please note that they will only do this one concert with us, and that for the other Icebreaker Festival dates we'll have LORDI plus two other support acts.

"Speaking of which, we have a couple of new and exciting bands in the pipeline, but more on that when we have something concrete.

"Joacim [Cans, vocals] and I are on a promotion tour through Europe at the moment, and I write this on the plane from Milan. We woke up in Madrid this morning, and now we're heading to Athens... Things are going extremely well - everyone seem to share our sentiments regarding 'Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken' — and it feels great to travel around in Europe, talking to enthusiastic journalists about something you have worked so damn hard for for such a damn long time!

"I just got word that a HAMMERFALL appearance on another festival has been announced, this time in Italy: the Gods Of Metal Festival, taking place on June 11-12th. We will play one of the two days, and other confirmed acts are MÖTLEY CRÜE, ACCEPT, IRON MAIDEN and SLAYER. What was that, you said? "1986 all over again"!? ;-)"

As previously reported, HAMMERFALL's video for their new single, "Blood Bound", has been posted online at Aftonbladet.se.

HAMMERFALL will release their new album, "Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken", on March 7 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Crimson Thunder" was produced and mixed by Charlie Bauernfeind (BLIND GUARDIAN, HELLOWEEN) and will be preceded by the "Blood Bound" single on January 31.
