HAMMERFALL Guitarist: ANDERS JOHANSSON Never Considered Joining STRATOVARIUS

January 24, 2004

HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has issued a statement regarding the recent announcement by STRATOVARIUS leader Timo Tolkki that HAMMERFALL drummer Anders Johansson would be joining STRATOVARIUS for the recording of the latter band's next studio album (a plan that was eventually abandoned). Writing to HAMMERFALL's official web site, Dronjak said, "Looks like the rumor mill has been running rampant the past few weeks, huh? Don't believe everything you hear because if it doesn't come from a reliable source it almost always turns out to be false. Fact of the matter is, Anders is not, nor was he ever thinking about, joining STRATOVARIUS. It's as simple as that. You will hear directly from him right here in the news section next week, where he will explain exactly what happened."
