H.I.M.: 'Love Metal Archives Vol. 1' DVD Enters German Chart At No. 2

Finnish goth-metallers H.I.M. have entered the German DVD chart at position No. 2 with their latest DVD, "Love Metal Archives Vol. 1". The same title entered the official album chart in Germany at position No. 15.

"Love Metal Archives Vol. 1" features 15 full-length videos, over 20 live performances, photo galleries, EPK's, biographies and interviews, plus a bonus disc featuring Bam Magera's three hilarious "Making of the Video" documentaries, including "Buried Alive by Love", starring Juliette Lewis, "The Sacrament", and the previously unreleased "And Love Said No".

As previously reported, H.I.M. have tapped Andy Wallace (KORN, LINKIN PARK, LIMP BIZKIT, SLAYER) to mix their brand-new album, tentatively due in the fall via Sire. The mixing sessions are scheduled to take place in New York City.

H.I.M. recorded the follow-up to 2003's "Love Metal" at Los Angeles' Paramour studios According to singer Ville Valo, the upcoming CD, which is being produced by Tim Palmer (who worked on the band's last album),will feature "really fast songs but with a melodic punky MISFITS feel to them."

H.I.M.'s forthcoming album will be preceded by a single release in August. Ville Valo and his cohorts have also lined up a handful of European and Japanese festival appearances during the summer.

Valo is expected to sing backing vocals on one or two songs on the forthcoming BLOODHOUND GANG album. No further information is currently available.
