GWAR Frontman Confirmed For 10th Appearance On FOX NEWS' 'Red Eye' Tonight

April 12, 2010

GWAR frontman Oderus Urungus will make his tenth appearance on Fox News' "Red Eye" show with host Greg Gutfeld this Monday night, April 12.

Oderus, "reached" in New York City while preparing for the debut of his webTV fund-raising event the Crack-a-Thon, (which starts this Friday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. EST at Crackathon.tv) had this to say: "I am as surprised as anyone to be returning yet again to the belly of the beast. And while we are mentioning bellies, shout-out to my main man, Greg Gutfeld!"

"Red Eye" is a late-night/early-morning talk show on the Fox News channel. Airing at 3:00 a.m. EST on weekdays with repeats on weekends at 12:00 a.m. EST, the show covers a variety of topics, including news, entertainment, sports, and gossip. It is hosted by former Maxim U.K. editor Greg Gutfeld.

The Crack-a-Thon is GWAR's first-ever live webTV broadcast, an all-singing, all dancing, all-crack-crazed, all FREE event to be broadcast from the MF Gallery in Brooklyn, New York on April 16 and April 17 from 7 to 12:00 p.m. With guests like Andrew W.K., Troma films co-founder and king of the B-movie Lloyd Kaufman, and mop-wielding semi-hero Toxic Avenger, brains are set to be melted as Oderus Urungus and co-host Balsac the Jaws of Death stake their claim as legitimate TV talk show overlords, and establish Slave Pit TV as a force to be reckoned with in the rapidly expanding world of web television.

Says Oderus: "There is a lot more at stake here than trying to raise money for my drug habit, even though that's a big part of it. I have spent 25 years on other people's shows, appearing with everybody from Joan Rivers to Jerry Springer to Greg Gutfeld with my current gig on Fox News' 'Red Eye', and I have gotten pretty fucking good at it! But with the technology of the interweb as it stands today, we have the power to create not only our own TV show, but our own fucking network! Slave Pit TV will be a voice of dickdom in a dickless world — a 24-7 icon of filth, uncensored, unregulated, and UNREAL!"

Completely viewer-funded, Slave Pit TV will operate on money donated by their loyal viewers and sole corporate sponsor, Metal Blade Records, who are already running their own webTV station, Metal Blade TV. In fact rumors of Oderus even now producing his own webTV show for his corporate overlords and longtime sponsors at Metal Blade are completely true! More details on that to come...
