The second annual Raven's Heart benefit concert will take place this Thursday, January 19 at the Fais Do-Do in Los Angeles. All proceeds from the event will go to the Raven's Heart Foundation. The benefit will feature a full night of performances, including a surprise band, and will be capped off by an all-star jam. Timed to coincide with the NAMM convention, last year's event drew an impressive roster of artists that attended and/or performed, including members of DISTURBED, Nicko McBrain of IRON MAIDEN, Charlie Benante and Scott Ian from ANTHRAX, Vinnie Paul and Patrick Lachman from DAMAGEPLAN, PRONG, plus members of GUNS N' ROSES, AC/DC, ANDREW WK, TYPE O NEGATIVE, MINISTRY, MURDERDOLLS and more. This year's event is no different and will feature current and former members of the following acts:
GUNS N' ROSES
TYPE O NEGATIVE
ACE FREHLEY BAND
DON FELDER (THE EAGLES)
JOE LYNN TURNER
DAVID LEE ROTH
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE
THE LONDON QUIREBOYS
DEE SNIDER'S VAN HELSING'S CURSE
BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION
The benefit concert is being held in honor of Raven's Heart Foundation — originally established to raise funds for Raven Nicole Robinson, a one-year old girl born with a very large hole in between the right and left pumping chambers of her heart — and was set up by Raven's mother to help all children with heart disease. Raven had a successful surgery last year and is growing beautifully due to the love and support of the music and entertainment industry. Misse, Raven's mom vowed to continue to help children and then hand over the foundation to Raven when she is old enough. The foundation has helped numerous children with heart illness this past year and has been a support system for families going through crisis because of their sick children.
Misse has worked diligently with the assistance of some wonderfully talented individuals to keep her promise to these needful families.
The concert is a $20 donation and it is an all-ages show. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and show starts at 7:00 p.m. Club Fais Do-Do is located at 5257 W. Adams Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90016.
