GUNS N' ROSES Bassist To Hit The Road: Tour Dates Announced

Tommy Stinson, founding member and bass player for the seminal rock group THE REPLACEMENTS and bass player of the new GUNS N' ROSES, will embark on a three-week U.S. tour in late August along with Hearbox Records recording artists THE FIGGS.

Performing in an acoustic setting, Stinson will be previewing some of the songs from his upcoming solo album. Additionally, he will include material from his two previous solo bands, BASH & POP and PERFECT, as well as a few select cover songs.

As previously reported, Stinson is currently putting the finishing touches on 16 new songs for an upcoming solo record. Primarily recorded over two months in a studio owned by friend Charles Thompson (a.k.a. Frank Black),the album includes contributions from A PERFECT CIRCLE drummer Josh Freese, Jason Freese on saxophone, CATHOLICS and former JACK LOGAN guitarist Dave Phillips, former PERFECT drummer Gersh, and GNR guitarist Richard Fortus and keyboardist Dizzy Reed. The untitled album is currently being shopped to labels.
