GROPE Part Ways With Bassist

Long-running Danish metallers GROPE have parted ways with bassist Obersten.

"After many years of hard rocking with GROPE, Obersten has decided to leave the band," reads a message on the band's official web site. "But don't worry — he did not get a job in a bank! He will continue to rock even harder — in San Francisco (USA). The gig with YNGWIE MALMSTEEN [at Train in Aarhus, Denmark on April 9] will be the last show with Obersten. So show up and see GROPE in this lineup for the last time and pay your respects to the Colonel of metal – Obeast - Obersten – Ølberst... We part as friends and wish him the best of luck and rock n' roll."
