GRIMSKULL: Debut Album Out Now

January 4, 2010

Norwegian heavy metal band GRIMSKULL released its self-titled debut album on December 10, 2009 via Solheim Music. The group features Trygve Johan Solheim (vocals/guitar),who has previously worked with members of the black metal bands TAAKE, SIGFADER, GAAHLSKAGG and GORGOROTH. The project was originally launched in 1989, but reformed as GRIMSKULL in the summer of 2009.

Commented bassist Marita Sundet: "We are very proud to release our first album, an album where we've tried to capture the essense of gritty, early-'80s heavy metal.

"We are heavily influenced by all the classic forms of dark metal, doom, thrash and also melodic hard rock, and have squeezed it all into one heavy package. A few of the songs were written the same year as I was born, so it's amazing for me to be a part of this and play these songs.

"It's really a great honour for me to be a member of this cool band."
