GREEN CARNATION Schedule Hometown Gigs

June 3, 2005

GREEN CARNATION, the Norwegian band featuring Tchort (a.k.a. Terje Vik Schei; BLOOD RED THRONE, ex-EMPEROR, SATYRICON, EINHERJER),will peform two shows for the under-18 crowd in their hometown of Kristiansand over the course of the next two weekends.

The first concert will take place on Saturday, June 4 at the youth club where Tchort, Stein Roger and Tommy all grew up, Tinnheia Ungdomsklubb. The second gig is a warm-up for GREEN CARNATION's mini tour of U.K. and Ireland, on Friday, June 9 at Samsen in Kristiansand. This will be a local "Skools Out" organized by GREEN CARNATION, which will include workshops and small courses held by the bandmembers, sound and light engineers.

"We are more than happy to give something back to the club so influential for our development as young musicians," bassist Stein Roger Sordal said. "And by organizing the local 'Skools Out' we hope to inspire a new generation of hopefuls in our home town. The entire band are looking forward to the two gigs, and it will also give us opportunities to try out some of the new stuff we are going to play on our mini-tour."
