GRAVE's OLA LINDGREN Joins SPAZMOSITY

January 6, 2010

Ola Lindgren (GRAVE) has joined Swedish death/black metallers SPAZMOSITY as the band's new lead vocalist. He replaces Peter Emanuelsson, who left the group after the recording of SPAZMOSITY's debut album, "Welcome Death".

SPAZMOSITY's new lineup:

Björn Thelberg - Guitar
Mikael Lamming - Guitar
Mikael Nordström - Bass
Dimitri "Dimman" Jungi - Drums
Ola Lindgren - Vocals

Commented the group: "It was a hard process for the band [to part ways with Emanuelsson] after so many good years together.

"An old friend of the band, Ola Lindgren, took over the microphone in 2009. Ola, of course, brings new dimensions to the vocals in SPAZMOSITY.

"The new lineup has already done one show in Gävle in 2009 and is planning three new shows this winter. First up is Gothenburg on January and Trollhättan on January 9."

"Welcome Death" will be released in early 2010 via Khaosmaster Productions. The CD was recorded at Necromorbus Studios (WATAIN, UNANIMATED) with producer Tore Stjerna.

SPAZMOSITY was founded in the fall of 1994 by guitarists B. Thelberg and M. Lamming. The band quickly evolved from playing covers to writing its own music in the death and black metal genre. After a few concerts, Peter Emanuelsson joined as a singer, and 1998 saw the addition of bass player Mikael Nordström. In 2003 their third and highly critically acclaimed demo, "Storm Metal", was released. During all this time they gigged whenever possible and shared stages with, among others, AMON AMARTH, LOBOTOMY, VINTERLAND, WATAIN, THRONEAEON and ENTOMBED.
