GODHEAD To Support EVANESCENCE With Or Without Drummer

October 21, 2003

Despite drummer Ken Jay's (ex-STATIC-X) health issues which have forced GODHEAD to withdraw from their European tour with PARADISE LOST, the band will still open the U.S. EVANESCENCE tour beginning in Tucson on November 21 and running through mid-December.

Band frontman Jason Miller explains, "Ken's illness came too close to the start of the European dates for us to find another drummer and get him in place, so we were forced to cancel them for now. We should know by next week whether or not Ken will be able to join us for the EVANESCENCE tour, which of course is what we are hoping. He's a member of the band no matter what. However, we may have to find someone to fill in for him for at least part of the tour. In any case, he wants us to do these dates with or without him and we are definitely going to do the EVANESCENCE tour."

Jay's illness is still being diagnosed. The band are promoting their recent release, "Evolver", on Reality Entertainment. They have just released a second single off the album, "Far Too Long", and will be filming the video for it this weekend. The video for the first single, "The Hate In Me", is currently airing on both Fuse TV and MTV2.
