GODHEAD Parts Ways With Drummer, Prepares To Record New Album

February 6, 2008

GODHEAD frontman Jason C. Miller has issued the following update:

"If you've been spending all your time reading political blogs, you might not know that we've just recently released our 'Unplugged' EP and that it's available on iTunes internationally, as well as Napster, Rhapsody, eMusic and Amazon.com.

"We did this ALL on our own with NO record label interference, so if you buy it, we'll actually SEE the money (for the first time in our career!).

"Also, we are wrapping up the writing of our new album and about to enter the studio to start recording it! We are anticipating a summer release and plan to be on tour for all of the second half of 2008, in the U.S. and Europe.

"Soon we'll be announcing the album title and also what label will be putting it out, so stay tuned. The album cover and CD booklet (yes we'll still have those) are being designed exclusively by Mister Sam Shearon. If you haven't seen his amazing work, check it out Here.

"On a more solemn note, after a year and a half with Glendon Crain on drums, we're parting ways. We wish him well and he wishes us the same, but it's time for us to move on due to musical differences. We'll be announcing his replacement soon.

"Speaking of the music, this new GODHEAD album is going to be chock-full of goodies for new and old-school fans alike. Besides just a full-length album, we also plan on including plenty of extras like remixes from many of your favorite remixers as well as acoustic versions of some of the songs (for all the new fans we made on the Jonathan Davis acoustic tour). We'll also be giving lots of video reports from the studio as well as having a live webcam broadcasting from the studio so that you can see and hear us recording the music as we lay it down, even the screw-ups! Be sure to log into Godhead.com or GODHEAD's MySpace page or GODHEAD's VampireFreaks page for details."

GODHEAD recently parted ways with Cement Shoes Records, the label that released the band's most recent CD, 2006's "The Shadow Line".

GODHEAD's video for the song "Hey You", directed by AJ Rickert-Epstein, can be viewed below. The track comes off "The Shadow Line".
