GOD FORBID Drummer Checks In From The Road

October 18, 2005

GOD FORBID are currently in the midst of the highly-successful Decibel magazine-sponsored Fury of The Fall tour with MESHUGGAH, THE HAUNTED and MNEMIC, which is the group's first U.S. trek in support of their highly-acclaimed new conceptual opus, "IV: Constitution of Treason". The album entered The Billboard 200 chart at No. 119 in its first week of release and it's also the first time the group has ever appeared in the Top 200 charts. A video for the album's blistering opening track, "End of the World", was just completed by acclaimed director Dave Brodsky (ALL THAT REMAINS, FIGHT PARIS, THE RED CHORD). Look for it to make its Fuse and MTV2 debut late this month.

Corey Pierce (drums) checks in with the following tour report: "All right, my metal-as-hell brethren, I have been given the most distinguished pleasure in giving you all out there the lowdown on this tour. First off, we have seen many old friends in these past few days from MA and CT to NJ son. Every day has been fricken amazing. Connecticut was the best show we have ever had in that state. It was really so amazing and thanks to everyone who was feeling it with us. Our friends from HATEBREED and SHADOWS FALL also came out and made us feel right at home.

"Well, I could talk a lot about the Worcester show, but all you need to say about Worcester is it's always a fricken huge metal time. Now, this is very important, so read carefully. We as a band would, with all our hearts, like to give thanx to all our friends in JERSEY SON! Much love and respect to our home state for showing us such a great homecoming. You guys are the reason we will always stay grounded and never forget where we come from.

"I will shut the ratchet jaw for now and look for us in your town soon, and if you're ready for the metal to enter your brain and possess your body, then bitch GOD FORBID is what you been waiting for. C MONEY BIATCHES."

Produced by Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM) and Eric Rachel (ATREYU, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN),the album — a socially and politically charged vision of a post-apocalyptic world — further displays the incredible creativity and talent of one of the most highly-respected bands in metal today. A limited edition DualDisc version is also available, featuring, in addition to the album itself, "The Act of Treason"; an exclusive, making-of-the-album, behind-the-scenes documentary featuring band interviews and tons of in-studio footage that takes you from rehearsals to pre-production all the way to the mastering of "IV: Constitution of Treason".
