GOD FORBID Announces Headlining U.S. Tour; Launches YouTube Page

November 2, 2006

New Jersey's GOD FORBID will soon return to annihilate the masses with one of the most brutal package tours of the year. This stunning Revolver-sponsored headlining trek, dubbed "The Chains of Humanity" tour, also features extreme metal titans GOATWHORE and MNEMIC, who are two of the most talked about acts to hit the genre in recent years. The already phenomenal lineup is rounded out with ARSIS, THE HUMAN ABSTRACT (who will be on the tour Jan. 4-31) and BYZANTINE (Feb. 1-18).

This tour is GOD FORBID's first headlining run in support of their latest acclaimed album, "IV: Constitution of Treason", and they purposely chose to play smaller venues on this run to get more intimate with their fans. These shows are poised to be the ultimate GOD FORBID live experience, and be sure to get your tickets quick because they are all guaranteed sellouts. This also caps off an extremely successful album cycle for the band, which saw them tour alongside such renowned acts as CHILDREN OF BODOM, ANTHRAX and ARCH ENEMY, among a slew of others.

Commented Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals): "We have been working tirelessly to put together a line-up of bands we respect and felt our fans would enjoy. GOATWHORE is a band we first toured with back in 2002 as part of a two-month long tour supporting GWAR, and we've been close friends ever since. They were a tough act to follow back then and I'm sure it'll be no different this time. MNEMIC are old friends of ours, as we shared a bus in '05 on tour with MESHUGGAH. Their new album rips! THE HUMAN ABSTRACT was brought to our attention quite recently, but when we heard the insane musicianship, awesome sense of melody and epic songwriting, we had to have them. BYZANTINE are one of the most underrated bands in metal, and also some of the nicest guys around. ARSIS is making a ton of noise in the underground with their awesome tech/death metal. I couldn't be happier with the bands we have on this tour.

"Unless some really big opportunities come our way, this will probably be the last U.S. tour for the 'Constitution' album cycle, so all the real GF fans should make that extra effort and find their way to a show in their area. We plan to put together a headlining set that will pummel everyone in attendance! We look forward to seeing you all soon."

A new live video for the track "Chains of Humanity" is currently being edited by David Brodsky (DIECAST, GWAR, THE RED CHORD) and will be primarily composed of footage from the renowned Metal Hammer Awards show, alongside a slew of hilarious backstage antics. The group also have a newly designed website at www.godforbid1.com and have launched a trailer for God Forbid TV (GFTV) at this location.
