GOD DETHRONED Members To Take Part In ROTTERDAM POP ACADEMY Graduation Exam

June 12, 2006

Guitarist Isaac Delahaye of the Dutch death metallers GOD DETHRONED has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"On the 4th of July, Ariën [van Weesenbeek, drums] and me will play an exclusive show with SIC in Nighttown, Holland. This project is the initiative of Coen Janssen (keyboard player of EPICA) and will be a part of his graduation exam for the Rotterdam Pop Academy. Other musicians who'll join us for this unique experience are Sven Janssens (ex-AXAMENTA, BATTALION) and Tijs Vanneste (OCEANS OF SADNESS). SIC will be the opening band for Coen's main band EPICA."

GOD DETHRONED are currently mixing their new album, "The Toxic Touch", with producer Jörg Uken, tentatively due in October via Metal Balde Records. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Typhoid Mary", "On Wings of Pestilence", "Falling Down", "Away From Emptiness", "Hating Life", "Bleeding Mirrors", "Fail to Exist", "Macabre World" and "2014". The artwork is being created by Jacek Wisniewski, who also did the cover for the band's 'Lair of the White Worm" album.

GOD DETHRONED's most recent album, "The Lair of the White Worm", was released in November 2004 via Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Into the Lungs of Hell" was recorded at Berno Studios in Malmö, Sweden by Henrik Larsson and was mastered at Franky's Recording Kitchen by Berthus Westerhuis.
