GOAT HORN Part Ways With Drummer, Seek Replacement

April 1, 2006

Canadian metallers GOAT HORN have parted ways with drummer Steelrider.

Commented bassist/vocalist Jason Decay: "Steelrider has left the band due to a leg condition that has been bothering him for a year and a half. We have a session drummer right now, but we are looking for a permanent replacement. We'll probably wait untill we find the new person before we make an official announcement."

GOAT HORN will be entering the studio this spring to record the follow up to their "Threatening Force" EP. The band are currently in talks with a handful of labels about a possible release of their new CD, which is expected this fall.

As previously reported, GOAT HORN's upcoming CD was hand-picked as one of the "50 Most Anticipated Albums" in the February 2006 issue of Decibel magazine. Other bands featured in the issue included IRON MAIDEN, HATEBREED, IN FLAMES, LACUNA COIL, MASTODON, SLAYER and SHADOWS FALL.

Regarding what the fans can expect from the band's upcoming release, Decay said, "Basically what you can expect is something that you can sit up on a pedestal next to 'Master of Puppets'."
