GLENN HUGHES Working On New American Record Deal

May 20, 2006

Legendary vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) has posted the following message on his official web site:

"Only a couple of weeks before the [new Glenn Hughes solo] album ['Music for the Divine'] comes out and I am hard at work doing all the press. The reviews have been amazing and I have been getting more magazine coverage and covers than ever before.

"We are working on an American deal and it should be finalized next week and then the album should be released in America and in South America in July. I will keep you posted on all live shows that will be coming up.

"I want to congratulate [RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS members] Chad [Smith; who also plays in Hughes' solo band], John [Frusciante], Flea and Anthony [Kiedis] for their #1 album. They have worked really hard and deserve it.

"Once again, thank you for all your love. This is a new beginning for me."

As previously reported, Frontiers Records has uploaded several audio samples from "Music for the Divine", at this location. The CD, which is scheduled for release on June 9, was recorded in Chad Smith's (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) house in Los Angeles and again features Smith on drums and longtime Glenn Hughes collaborator JJ Marsh on guitar. Also featured are RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS guitarist John Frusciante and Mark Killian, who has provided the string arrangements and keyboards.
