Legendary bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) unveiled his new signature bass at the Manne Guitars booth on Saturday (Jan. 22) at the NAMM 2005 convention in Anaheim, California.

Joining Glenn to celebrate the occasion were some of his close friends such as Alex Ligertwood, Hans Zermuehlen, Bobby Kimball, Pat Travers, Ed Roth and Jeff Kollman, to name just a few. Check out pictures from GHPG.net.

As previously reported, Hughes will be issuing his new solo album, "Soul Mover", in Europe on January 24 via Frontiers Records. A U.S. release via Sanctuary will follow in the coming weeks.

"Soul Mover" was recorded live at Sound Image Studios in Los Angeles in the spring of 2004 and features RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' Chad Smith on drums, JJ Marsh on guitar and Ed Roth on keyboards. The album also features ex-RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS and JANE'S ADDICTION guitarist Dave Navarro on the title track.
