According to a posting on Glenn Hughes' (ex-DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) official web site, Hughes recently did a session with the VARGAS BLUES BAND or their new album called "Love, Union, Peace". Other artists appearing on the CD include Jack Bruce (CREAM), Alex Ligertwood (SANTANA), Elliot Murphy, Devon Allman, Reese Wynans (SRV'S DOUBLE TROUBLE). The album was recorded at the Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee.

Hughes is continuing to tour in support of his latest solo album, "Soul Mover", available now on Sanctuary Records.

"Soul Mover" was recorded live at Sound Image Studios in Los Angeles in the spring of 2004 and features Smith on drums, JJ Marsh on guitar and Ed Roth on keyboards. The album also contains a special guest appearance by ex-RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS and JANE'S ADDICTION guitarist Dave Navarro on the title track.
