GLENN HUGHES Records MOODY BLUES Cover

Vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (ex-DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH),drummer Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) and guitarist John Frusciante (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) recently recorded a cover version of MOODY BLUES' "Nights In White Satin", according to a posting at GHPG.net. The recording, which is said to be feature one of Glenn's "greatest-ever" vocal performances, was mixed by the world-famous engineer Jim Scott (AUDIOSLAVE, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS). Scott also mixed the new Hughes composition "Soul Mover" (mp3 clip),which was recently tracked at the Sound Image studios in Van Nuys, California. Appearing with Glenn on the recording are Smith and ex-JANE'S ADDICTION/RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS guitarist Dave Navarro. Both songs are expected to show up on Glenn's new studio album, tentatively due out in early 2005.
