GLENN HUGHES On Upcoming Solo CD: It's The Most Prolific Album I've Made

February 4, 2003

Former DEEP PURPLE/BLACK SABBATH singer GLENN HUGHES has started mixing his latest solo album, "Songs In The Key Of Rock", for a tentative May release in Japan and early June in Europe.

"I have just finished singing the album," Hughes said in a posting on his official web site. "We are in mixing mode this week. I'm extremely excited the way the songs have turned out. I was going for a specific sound and I want to thank Jeff Kollman, my co-producer, for helping me to achieve that goal. For me, this is the most prolific CD I've made since my life changed. The vocals range from intense, raw, emotional and soulful. If you have been a fan of mine from TRAPEZE to PURPLE to HUGHES/THRALL and [BLACK SABBATH's] '7th Star' album, you are going to love this. I can't wait for you to hear it."
