'Get Thrashed' Producer, Director To Guest On KNAC.COM's 'The Vault' Sunday

Director Rick Ernst and associate producerRat Skates (ex-OVERKILL drummer) of "Get Thrashed" — the much-anticipated documentary profiling the thrash metal scene of the early Eighties and its impact on the music scene — have been scheduled as the special phone-in guests of DJ Will, host of KNAC.COM's trad/underground metal specialty program "The Vault" this Sunday, April 29 at 10:30 a.m. PST/1:30 p.m. EST. "Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal" will screen in the MusicFest portion of the Silver Lake Film Festival in Los Angeles. The film will be shown on Saturday night, May 5 at 11:45 p.m. at the Los Feliz 3 Theatre, located at 1822 North Vermont Avenue, L.A., CA 90027. A new trailer for "Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal" has been posted online at this location (Windows Media).

"Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal" had its world premiere at the 2006 Raindance Film Festival in London. The documentary screened on October 3 at the CineWorld, Trocadero Centre, Piccadilly, London. Director Rick Ernst, a longtime freelance producer for MTV, was on hand at the event.
