'Get Thrashed' Director Interviewed On KSUB; Audio Available

Rick Ernst, director of "Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal" — the much-anticipated documentary profiling the thrash metal scene of the early Eighties and its impact on the music scene — was recently interviewed by Paul Brown of the Seattle radio station KSUB. Tune in to Eddie Trunk live on The Boneyard (XM Radio, Channel 41) this Monday night (June 18) at 7:00 p.m. Ernst will stop by the studio to hang with Eddie and his guests and to talk about the upcoming "Get Thrashed" screenings.

The after-party for the New York screening of "Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal" will be held on Friday, June 22 at the new L'Amour rock club on Staten Island, New York.

L'Amour, the "Rock Capital of Brooklyn, New York" for over 25 years, recently re-opened its doors at 2354 Arthur Kill Road in Staten Island. The world-renowned club is featured in "Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal", and bands like METALLICA, MEGADETH, SLAYER, ANTHRAX, OVERKILL, TYPE O NEGATIVE, CRO-MAGS, AGNOSTIC FRONT, BIOHAZARD, MERCYFUL FATE, VENOM, RAVEN and many others have graced its stages over the years. All those attending the "Get Thrashed" screening on Friday, June 22, 2007, can bring their ticket stub to L'Amour that same night to receive half price admission to the club.

"Get Thrashed" will be screened on Friday, June 22 at 9:00 p.m. at The College of Staten Island - Recital Hall (2800 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, New York 10314). Tickets are $6.00 and are available through www.sifilmfestival.org.
