Germany's OFF LIMITS Festival Cancelled!

July 19, 2002

Germany's Off Limits festival, which was set to be held at the Leipziger Messehalle on August 31st and Dortmunder Westfalenhalle on September 1st, has been officially cancelled.

RAMMSTEIN, ANDREW WK and CLAWFINGER were due to take part in the festivities, which were originally supposed to be held outdoors at Festwiese in Leipzig and at Georg-Melches-Stadion in Essen.

As previously reported, SLIPKNOT withdrew from the festival late last month after city officials in the town of Leipzig expressed concern about the potentially high noise level of the "open air" event—a move that was widely perceived as the organizers getting "cold feet" over the group's alleged links to the German school massacre carried out in April.
