GENE HOGLAN Forced To Skip 'Surprise' DARK ANGEL Performance

September 27, 2002

Drummer Gene Hoglan will be unable to participate in the rumored DARK ANGEL "surprise" appearance at the KREATOR/DESTRUCTION gig at The Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana, California on September 30th, guitarist Jim Durkin has informed BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "But as to not disappoint anyone who will be there early enough to see [Jim's new band] DREAMS OF DAMNATION (we go on at 7:00 p.m.) and depending on how smooth the stage time runs, we hope to bring [DARK ANGEL vocalist] Ron [Rinehart] and [guitarist] Eric [Meyer] up for a song anyway," Durkin said.

Despite Hoglan's non-appearance at the KREATOR/DESTRUCTION gig, he "is very much a part of the [planned DARK ANGEL] December tour," according to the guitarist, "and that is DARK ANGEL's main focus right now."
