FURBOWL To Re-Record Old Songs For New CD

February 25, 2008

Vocalist Johan Liiva (HEARSE, ARCH ENEMY, NONEXIST, FURBOWL) has issued the following update:

"FURBOWL has been offered to re-record and release old unreleased songs. Max [Thornell, ex-FURBOWL drummer] has been in touch with Niclas Stenemo and he's totally into the idea. This means, the classic 'The Autumn Years' [1994] line-up will go to some studio and kick some old shit out of these tunes. I am so looking forward to it — a brand new FURBOWL album!!

"A new band is currently in the process of writing songs for a demo (for starters) with drummer Jeramie 'Kling of all Klings' Kling (formerly THE ABSCENCE) and myself on vocals (and maybe bass, we'll see) — plans are to find a guitarplayer as soon as possible who can create music in the vein of 'MINISTRY goes AUTOPSY meets MORBID ANGEL' or something like that. We promise a very intense and powerful experience once our tunes are found on disc."

Liiva will make a guest appearance on the new OCEANS OF SADNESS album, "The Arrogance of Ignorance", on the song "In the End".

HEARSE's fourth album, "In These Veins", was released in North America in September 2007 via Candlelight Records.
