FU MANCHU Frontman: 25 New Songs Ready To Be Recorded

July 25, 2003

FU MANCHU singer/guitarist Scott Hill has posted the following message to the band's official web site:

"We are playing three shows in California this August. San Jose August 8th at The Usual, August 9th [in] San Francisco at Slims, August 10th [in] Santa Monica at the Santa Monica Civic. This should be a wild show. The guy putting it on asked if he could use one of our song titles, 'Downtown In Dogtown', for his upcoming show. He also asked if we wanted to play. We asked who was playing. He told us THE ADOLESCENTS, AGENT ORANGE, HR from the BAD BRAINS, and recently added, GREG GINN from the mighty BLACK FLAG. We said 'Hell yes', as those are some of my favorite bands of all time. There is going to be a lot of skating, Dogtown artwork, and movies also being shown. Should be a good time. We are also close to putting out 'Go For It...Live' on double vinyl. A few details left and it will be out soon. The 'Go For It...Live' CD is in stores now. We are going to be releasing it on an Australian label I think in October/November followed by an Australian tour in November, if everything goes as planned. We are back, busy working on new songs. We have about 25 new ones."
