FOZZY/STUCK MOJO Part Ways With Longtime Drummer, Announce Replacement

September 22, 2005

FOZZY/STUCK MOJO have officially parted ways with drummer Frank "Bud" Fontsere. Guitarist Rich Ward's statement on the matter follows:

"As many of you already now, over the last few years there have been several changes in the FOZZY/MOJO/DUKE/SICK SPEED camps. Everyone who has been a part of these groups has brought something unique to the creative process as well as being a special part of our traveling family. Dan Dryden, Keith Watson, Billy Grey, Happy and Ryan Mallum are all great musicians and friends that we miss. Today I am sad to announce that, for now, my longtime bandmate and close friend Frank 'Bud' Fontsere and I have decided to continue our musical journeys separately.

"It serves no purpose to discuss the details behind the split or to speak of our differences in the public forum. What I will share with you is that there is no drama or bad feelings associated with this split and Frank will always be a welcomed part of our extended family. The bottom line is that the band and Frank feel that, for now, this is what is in the best interest of all the parties involved.

"For the upcoming FOZZY and STUCK MOJO tours of the U.K., we will be joined by veteran Atlanta drummer Eric Sanders. He is best known for his time spent in Colonel Bruce Hampton's FIJI MARINERS as well as playing with local guitar hero BARRY RICHMOND. Eric has two music degrees and the largest collection of metal CDs that I've ever seen. He is what we refer to as a 'retarded' drummer (meaning that I feel retarded when see him play). Eric has some big shoes to fill and Bud can never be replaced, but jaws will drop when this guy gets behind the kit.

"Please everybody, join me in wishing Frank good luck in the future and hope that we see him back on stage real soon.

"Cheers, Frank! Thanks for all the great years and for a lifetime of amazing memories."
