Former VIXEN Guitarist Resurfaces In DRAWING DOWN THE MOON

February 3, 2005

Former VIXEN guitarist Jan Kuehnemund has formed DRAWING DOWN THE MOON, an alternative group that ventures into musical territory one wouldn't expect from a hard-rock veteran. From the neo-psychedelic touches of "Dream" to the shimmering riffs of "Blue", Kuehnemund is exploring her own versatility, crafting pop music that can stand on its own outside of her work with VIXEN. Stunning two-and-three part female harmonies soar atop melodic pop/rock that reveal the influences of blues, '80s new wave, country, and of course, hard rock.

Comprised of Kuehnemund, vocalist/percussionist Stacy Robin of IMAGINARY FRIENDS, vocalist Jackie Paulson, drummer/bassist/keyboardist Donna Eveland, and guitarist/vocalist Donna Rawlins, DRAWING DOWN THE MOON have just released their debut album, "Angel in My Room", on Oceanic Records. The 12-track CD is a hook-driven collection of stylish, sultry, and emotionally uplifting rock 'n' roll where no song can be compared to each other; every track has its own distinct identity.

DRAWING DOWN THE MOON's new album, "Angel in My Room", is currently available at Amazon.com and CDBaby.com.
