Former THE DARKNESS Frontman Discusses New Band; Video Available

James Allman of Baconmusic conducted an interview with former THE DARKNESS frontman Justin Hawkins on October 17, 2008 prior to a performance by Hawkins' new band HOT LEG at Stoke-on-Trent Sugarmill, UK. Watch the nine-minute chat below.

Justin Hawkins unveiled HOT LEG at a concert in London on August 6. The group played a set of cock-rock numbers, in a similar vein to THE DARKNESS, and covered two songs entitled "The Power Of Love" — one by HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS, the other by JENNIFER RUSH, both massive UK hits in 1985. The band then finished with a version of THE DARKNESS' "I Believe In A Thing Called Love".
