Former SOILWORK Guitarist To Set Up Recording Studio In Nashville

May 30, 2007

Former SOILWORK guitarist Peter Wichers, who has most recently worked as a songwriter/producer in California, has just delivered the masters to Nuclear Blast Records for a project that he has been working on for over a year. The CD, which will most likely be released under the "Nuclear Blast All-Stars" banner, features 10 "brand-spanking-new" songs written by Wichers for 10 different singers and two different drummers. According to Peter, the CD is a very diverse collection of songs covering a lot of different styles.

Says Peter: "I was very pleased with the result of the album. The mix is great and even though I had to fly all around the world to mix it, I think it paid off."

Guest singers on the CD are as follows:

Anders Fridén (IN FLAMES)
Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY)
Jari Mäenpää (WINTERSUN)
Christian Älvestam (SCAR SYMMETRY)
John Bush (ex-ANTHRAX)
Björn "Speed" Strid (SOILWORK)
Maurizio Iacono (KATAKLYSM)
Mark Osegueda (DEATH ANGEL)
Richard Sjunnesson and Roland Johansson (SONIC SYNDICATE)
Guillaume Bideau (MNEMIC)

The album is expected to be issued later in the year via Nuclear Blast Records.

In other news, Wichers writes, "Next week is going to be a busy week indeed, because all the stuff in the apartment has to get packed and ready for our [Peter and his wife] move to Nashville. My plan is to set up my own little tracking studio in Nashville, so that I can take on more productions and be able to do all my own stuff there, without having to pay another studio to be there."
