Former SKID ROW Drummer's Father Passes Away

May 7, 2003

Former SKID ROW drummer Rob Affuso lost his beloved father Bob Affuso, who unfortunately passed away last week. "Bob was a really cool guy who was always in a great mood and I will always remember his radiant smile and infectious laughter backstage or in the bus while we were on tour in SKID ROW," former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach wrote on his official web site. "He was so proud of Rob and all of us as he watched our dreams come true from the side of the stage and my heartfelt condolences go out to Rob, his brother and former SKID ROW tech Al Affuso, and their families in this difficult time. Bob Affuso, I remember you ... you will be missed."

The following is a note from Rob Affuso regarding his father's passing:

"PLEASE!!! In lieu of flowers… Many of you knew my dad as an extremely loving and caring person. He had a great affinity for animals and always wanted to care for them. With this in mind, we have chosen the 'JAKE' Fund to honor him and his love for animals and for his loving companion Tyler who will be laid to rest with him. The 'JAKE' fund helps any animal in need of assistance (wild or pet) in the Newburgh and surrounding area. This fund is carried on by the Newburgh Veterinary Hospital.

"Please send contributions 'IN MEMORY OF BOB & TYLER' to:

"The 'JAKE' Fund
Newburgh Veterinary Hospital
1716 Rt. 300
Newburgh, NY 12550

"OR if you prefer a 'human' interest:

"MIDDLEHOPE VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY
Rt. 9W
Middlehope, NY
*Dad was a past president here.

"Thank you all so much.
"Rob Affuso"
