Former SCORPIONS Drummer To Guest On Internet Radio

Former SCORPIONS drummer Herman Rarebell will be a special guest on the Greek Internet radio station on Sunday, November 24 between 11.00 and 13.00 Central European Time. During the first half of the show, members of the Greek SCORPIONS fan club will play rare tunes from the band before Herman takes over in the second half and plays music for the listeners.

Herman Rarebell earlier in the year released a video for the track "Take It As It Comes" (watch it below). The song comes off the "I'm Back" CD, which was released under the moniker HERMAN RAREBELL AND BAND. According to a press release, the album is sure to please Rarebell's longtime fans as it features a broad scope of catchy new rock songs, as well as a new version of the classic SCORPIONS hit "Rock You Like a Hurricane", a song that Rarebell co-wrote with fellow SCORPIONS members Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker.

Rarebell's band features his wife, Claudia Raab (saxophone), James "Duke" Jackson (guitars, also in STRIKEFORCE), and lead vocalist Stefan Erz.

In a recent interview with Classic Rock Revisited, Rarebell stated about the huge commercial success of SCORPIONS' 1982 album "Blackout", "Mercury Records was totally behind us and they believed in us. They wanted us to keep making albums. They wanted us to grow and do better each time out. 'Lovedrive' went gold. 'Animal Magnetism' went gold and then 'Blackout' was the first one to go platinum. Schenker/ Meine/ Rarebell was a great songwriting team. You can see that from how many successful albums we had. After I left the band, they didn't have any more hits."
