Former PANTERA Frontman PHILIP ANSELMO: New Photos Posted Online

September 6, 2005

Several recent photos of former PANTERA/current SUPERJOINT RITUAL frontman Philip Anselmo have been posted online at this DownBoard.com. The same pictures can also be seen at SuperjointRitualForum.com. A Lousiana resident, Anselmo is believed to be staying temporarily in Texas in the wake of the widespread devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina last week.

As previously reported, Anselmo joined sludge-metal outfit EYEHATEGOD onstage on August 15 during the band's set at New York's CBGB. Anselmo played guitar with the group in what was his first public appearance since the murder of his PANTERA bandmate "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott in December.

Before launching into their set, the band shared a joint onstage and Anselmo took the microphone, dedicating the performance to his "brother, Dimebag Darrell," according to Billboard.com.

Anselmo didn't sing during the the group's one-hour set, which reportedly favored songs from their 1993 sophomore album, "Take As Needed for Pain".

Check out pictures of Anselmo's performance with EYEHATEGOD at this location.
