Former NILE, ORIGIN, DYING FETUS Members Join Forces In VILE PENANCE

Veteran death metallers Duane Timlin (DYING FETUS, DIVINE EMPIRE), Joe Payne (NILE, DIVINE HERESY), James King (ORIGIN, UNMERCIFUL), Derek Engemann (UNMERCIFUL) and John Ramos (A.T.W.T.T.B., FUNERAL RITES) have joined forces in a new band called VILE PENANCE.

VILE PENANCE is the brainchild of Ramos and Timlin, who paired up during sessions with FUNERAL RITES and began writing material which would evolve into VILE PENANCE. Ramos and Timlin recorded some rough demo material to test out and they decided to turn the project into something more. During the search for other musicians, Joe, James, and Derek expressed interest in the project and the current lineup took shape.

VILE PENANCE is set to begin recording its first demo at Timlin's Reduced to Rubble studio, followed by select live appearances. A full-length album is also planned later in the year.

VILE PENANCE is:

Joe Payne (NILE, DIVINE HERESY) - Vocals
Duane Timlin (DYING FETUS, DIVINE EMPIRE) - Drums
John Ramos (A.T.W.T.T.B., FUNERAL RITES) - Guitar
James King (ORIGIN, UNMERCIFUL) - Guitar
Derek Engemann (UNMERCIFUL) - Bass
