San Francisco noisy three-piece THEORY OF RUIN, featuring former NAILBOMB/FUDGE TUNNEL guitarist/vocalist Alex Newport, are scheduled to enter Tiny Telephone Studios later this month to begin work on their debut full-length release, due out through Anaheim, California's Elastic Records in late spring. In the meantime, you can catch the band performing live at the following venues in Northern California:

Jan 19 – Oakland, CA @ Stork Club (w/TINYBIRDMOUTHS, XIU XIU)
Feb. 05 – San Francisco, CA @ Covered Wagon (w/BURMESE)
Mar. 01 – San Francisco, CA @ Kimo's (w/400 BLOWS)

In addition to his duties as the frontman for the above-mentioned group, Newport is keeping busy pursuing his career as an engineer/producer, with his previous projects including recordings by such notables as AT THE DRIVE-IN, MELVINS, WILL HAVEN, SAMIAM and NEW END ORIGINAL. More recently, Newport produced the latest CD for North Carolina's CODESEVEN, entitled The Rescue, which is tentatively scheduled to be released in March/April through The Music Cartel.
