Former MEGADETH Guitarist GLEN DROVER Selling Equipment On eBay

Canadian guitarist Glen Drover (MEGADETH, KING DIAMOND, EIDOLON) is auctioning two MEGADETH-related pieces of guitar equipment. The first item is a custom-made four-channel switcher rackmount by Whirlwind which Drover acquired before MEGADETH's 2006 Gigantour and used right up untill the time of his departure from the band. The second item is a BBE BMAX -T bass preamp which was used by Drover in his home studio for recordings over the last two years and is in "mint condition," according to a note on the auction page.

Glen Drover filled in for Alex Skolnick on TESTAMENT's recent North American tour with MEGADETH and EXODUS. "My buddies in TESTAMENT called me up to see if I could help for the tour, as Alex [was going to be] away during this time," Glen wrote on his MySpace page.

Glen is working on a full-length album of instrumental rock/fusion songs. The first track to be completed was a cover version of AL DI MEOLA's "Egyptian Danza", also featuring Jim Gilmour (SAGA), Chris Sutherland (KIM MITCHELL) on drums and Paul Yee on bass. Guest musicians scheduled to appear on the CD include Jeff Loomis (NEVERMORE) and Fredrik Ã…kesson (OPETH, ARCH ENEMY), both of whom have contributed "amazing" guitar solos, according to Drover. "Just wait 'till you hear what they have done!!!" he said.

Drover left MEGADETH at the end of 2007 and was replaced by Chris Broderick, who has previously played with NEVERMORE and JAG PANZER.
