Former MARDUK Vocalist LEGION: 'I Don't Give A Sh*t About Those Douchey Christians'

December 15, 2006

Former MARDUK vocalist Legion (a.k.a. Erik Hagsted) has issued the following update on his ELIZIUM project (formerly REBELANGELS):

"Here are two new songs, 'Instigator' and 'Jackal', as made for the merry holiday season, something to crank up your stereo with when your neighbours start singing those annoying carrols too close to your door!

"I don't give a shit about those douchey Christians and their overtones that's supposed to be nailed onto the holiday seasons, we're just gonna make sure to have a really great time! We're gonna to spoil the shit out of our kids, eat an insane amount of fat and sugar, you know what with the missus and our girlfriend and get shitfaced with friends and family.

"Feels like the greatest Xmas gift I ever received was my father's turnaround this fall. Me and the guy has been fighting for so long 'till we just made an uneasy truse, where we still couldn't agree on much, especially not music. Now all of a sudden dad is playing electric guitar, tells me over the phone that Zakk Wylde is an amazing player, and wants to have a bunch of whiskeys while we watch LED ZEPPELIN and RUSH DVDs!! What the fuck do you do when something like that happens? Yeah, you buy your dad a Les Paul, that's what you do.

"Wanna wish you all a fucking feast. Hope you get to have a great time and don't make any stupid New Year's resolutions you might regret!!

"See you all next year where we'll start play live and release our first album, 'Elizium', a blackened death/thrash earthshaker which will kick you in the nuts and tear you a new asshole!!

"'Tis the season to go nuts...I AM SATAN CLAUS!!!!

"The best to you all out there, a bloody Xmess and a crazy new year!!!"

ELIZIUM is:

Legion (a.k.a. Erik Hagsted) (MARDUK) - Vocals
Rikard Kottelin (LEGION) - Bass
Marcus Lundberg (SARGATANAS REIGN) - Rhythm Gutar
Jonas Mattson – Lead Guitar
Emil Dragutinovic (MARDUK, THE LEGION) – Drums
