Former MANOWAR Guitarist ROSS THE BOSS To Headline ROB ORIANI BENEFIT MEMORIAL SHOW

January 4, 2007

Legendary MANOWAR guitarist Ross The Boss will headline the Rob Oriani Benefit Memorial Show (for late VYNDYKATOR guitarist Robert "Rob" Oriani) on Saturday, March 24 at Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey. Ross will perform a set of MANOWAR classics from the first six albums. Joining Ross will be vocalist Prometheus (GODS OF FIRE),bassist Mike LePond (SYMPHONY X) and drummer Mike Sabatini (ATTACKER).

Ross is featured on MANOWAR's latest DVD, "The Day The Earth Shook - The Absolute Power".

Commented ATTACKER vocalist Bob Mitchell (who is organizing the show): "Rob often said to me that the three reasons he played guitar were Ross, K.K. (Downing) and Glenn (Tipton). I'm truly honored to have [Ross] as part of this great show that is really coming together. So many bands and the fans now want to be a part of this and I feel that [True Metal America, Bob's company] is really sending a profound message. This is absolutely going to be a great night and a wonderful memory for not only the fans of heavy metal but for Rob's family whom I love dearly. I owe a great deal of gratitude to Joanne over at Dingbatz for allowing such an event to take place. When I went to her with this show, she didn't hesitate for a moment and said 'yes' right away. She is a true sister of metal and a wonderful friend."

Two more bands will be confirmed in the next few days to complete the lineup. Also scheduled to appear are SEVEN WITCHES and DEVIL'S ISLAND. Set times and admission price will be finalized in the next several days after the final two bands are set in place. All proceeds (100%) from the night's performance will go to the family of Rob Oriani.
