Former KOLDBRANN Drummer Joins SEMARGL

Norwegian drummer Tom V. "Fordervelse" Nilsen (ex-KOLDBRANN, ARVAS) has joined the Norwegian-Ukrainian pop black metal band SEMARGL. He made his live debut with the group when they headlined the Music Bike Ukraine festival this past July in the city of Uzhgorod. Shortly after, SEMARGL played the Devilstone Open Air festival in Anykšciai, Lithuania alongside such acts as MAYHEM, GRAVE and TANKARD.

Fordervelse commented: "It all started when I accidentally saw a YouTube video for the song 'Credo Revolution'. It was an unusual combination of elements including black metal, electronic and dance music. This did not leave me cold! And after listening to their latest disc, I was determined to get acquainted with the band. After several weeks of communication, I was offered a permanent place as the drummer for SEMARGL. I gladly agreed!"

Video footage of SEMARGL's performance at the Devilstone Open Air 2010 festival can be viewed below.

SEMARGL's fourth album, "Ordo Bellictum Satanas", was released in March via the German label Twilight Vertrieb. The CD was recorded at at Blacklight studio in Kiev. Guest musicians on the album include Jonny Maudling (BAL-SAGOTH, MY DYING BRIDE), Nera (DARZAMAT), Iscariah (IMMORTAL, DEAD TO THIS WORLD, NECROPHAGIA), Novy (DIES IRAE, BEHEMOTH, VADER) and Vrangsinn (CARPATHIAN FOREST, NATTEFROST, A.W.O.T.).
