Former HADES Guitarist Gets HBO Air Time

November 24, 2004

Former HADES guitarist Dan Lorenzo has issued the following update:

"All this week you can hear my Blabbermouth-inspired song 'BONjour', from my new CD ('Nice Being Alone') on HBO's 'Inside The NFL'. My buds, comedians Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson, are usually on the last five minutes of the show — which airs new shows multiple times starting on Wednesdays at 10pm EST. Jim is most known for his 'Special Ed' character on 'Crank Yankers'. These guys are both huge metalheads and do everything they can to promote the scene. Last night we went to see METAL CHURCH/3 INCHES OF BLOOD and we barely got through the door and they were at the merch table buying everthing they could."

As previously reported, HADES have booked time at Crystal Studios to record one new song which will be a bonus track on the Mausoleum Records re-release of the group's first three CDs. "[Vocalist] Alan Tecchio is writing the lyrics to a song [bassist] Jimmy Schulman and I just put together," Lorenzo stated. "It combines three riffs I wrote after we recorded 'DamNation' and two of Jimmy's riffs from after we finished 'If At First You Don't Succeed'. Mausoleum have told me they plan on releasing the double CD the end of February. Visit HadesUSA.com for more info on that."
