Former GARDENIAN vocalist Jim Kjell has joined forces with ex-DIMENSION ZERO/IN FLAMES guitarist Glenn Ljungström in a new band called PITCHLINE, according to "It has a little touch of GARDENIAN as for the mixture of growls and clean [vocals], and of course it's melodic," Kjell said of the new project's musical direction. "Yet this is harder in some ways. It's more like [GARDENIAN's] 'Soulburner' [1999] than 'Sindustries' [2000] and incorporates some thrashier moments ala Glenn."

PITCHLINE, who are currently unsigned, are slated to enter famed Abyss Studios in November to begin recording their debut album. An early 2005 release is expected.
