Former EXHORDER Frontman: Safe And Sound In Texas

September 6, 2005

Vocalist Kyle Thomas of such respected New Orleans outfits as EXHORDER and FLOODGATE has issued the following statement regarding the destructive power of Hurricane Katrina and the devastation it has wreaked on his hometown:

"I am currently in Houston with my wife and children at the absolute generosity of our eternal friend Ginger Falgoust, Ben Falgoust of SOILENT GREEN's cousin. My brother Kevin and my family are here and also in Arkansas, and reports are that water was not much of an issue where we live though I fear wind damage and looting.

"I have received numerous text messages and e-mails from friends and family from here to Hungary, and for all of the well wishes I thank you. To the jackasses back home shooting at relief workers and helicopters I say you are what you eat, and that is the shit you give. I have heard of wild stories ranging from the city resembling 'Escape From New York' to a report of a 3 foot shark swimming down a residential street. Alligators, gangs robbing at gunpoint etc. It's gonna get uglier
before it gets better, so stay safe everyone and thanks again to those well wishers and amazing Texans that have shown us charity."

As previously reported, a group of friends are organizing a benefit concert to aid several victims of Hurricane Katrina, including Thomas (EXHORDER, FLOODGATE) and Ross Karpelman (THE MYSTICK KREWE OF CLEARLIGHT). More information is available at www.ReliefNOLA.com.
