Former DYING FETUS Drummer Makes SLAYER Short List, Announcement Expected In Coming Weeks

March 6, 2002

Former DYING FETUS/SUFFOCATION/M.O.D. and current MISERY INDEX drummer Kevin Talley is reportedly one of three sticksmen that have been re-called by SLAYER's management for a second audition to fill the slot left vacant by the recent departure of Paul Bostaph (now in SYSTEMATIC). Although no official word has yet been given regarding the identities of the other two drummers that have invited back to jam with the group, musicians that are known to have auditioned or attempted to arrange auditions include former SOULFLY/current STRIPPING THE PISTOL skinsman Joe Nunez, ABSU pounder Proscriptor (aka Russ R. Givens),ex-ACROPHET/MORTA SKULD drummer Jason Mooney, NEW EDEN drummer Dave Chedrick, and ex-WHIPLASH/KREATOR skinsman Joe Cangelosi.

It is presently believed that SLAYER will announce Bostaph's replacement prior to the continuation of their ongoing God Hates The World tour, which is scheduled to resume on April 30th at 4th and Broadway in San Diego, California.
