Former BLACK SABBATH Vocalist To Sing With 'A Whole Lotta Metal'

February 17, 2004

Former BLACK SABBATH frontman Tony Martin will be one of three featured singers at an upcoming show about rock music of the '70s and '80s. Dubbed "A Whole Lotta Metal", the show will hit the road in the U.K. in May for a minimum of 25 dates and will feature music from such bands as SABBATH, LED ZEPPELIN and JUDAS PRIEST. Tony will reportedly be singing at various points during the performance and will be tackling such classics as "Headless Cross" (SABBATH),"Breakin' The Law" (PRIEST),"Fool For Your Lovin'" (WHITESNAKE),"Stormbringer" (DEEP PURPLE) and "Paranoid" (SABBATH).

In other news, Tony is currently working on a new "trilogy" solo set called "Clean, Mean Scream". At the moment, he is recording songs for the "Scream" portion of the trilogy, which is said to cover the "heavy" side of Tony Martin — everything "from SABBATH-sounding stuff to modern grinding gutsy stuff!" No further information is available at this time.
