Former ANKLA drummer German Hernandez has joined the Los Angeles-based metal band PHUSE. The group which is said to be influenced by such Swedish metal acts as AT THE GATES, THE HAUNTED and IN FLAMES is currently working on the follow-up to its 2005 album "The Smell of Old Folk" with producer/engineer Dave Casey (FLOOD) at Bob Clearmountain's (of BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN fame) Berkeley Street studio in Santa Monica. A late summer/early fall release is expected.

PHUSE's lineup is completed by Daniel Persson (vocals), Marcus Jonasson (bass) and Mike Thompson (guitar).
